To provide scholarship grants on Housekeeping, the Boater’s Wheel Educational System and Technology (BWEST) College signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with DepEd Quezon at the Division Library Hub on Thursday, April 15.
Beneficiaries of said grants would be teachers of Senior High School Technical-Vocational and Livelihood (SHS-TVL) Strand in the Division. Dr. Elias Alicaya Jr., OIC-SDS, and Dr. Marc-Konney L. Medina, President-Owner of BWEST College represented the organizations in partnership. To witness the event, OIC-ASDS Gregorio A. Co Jr., OIC-ASDS Gregorio T. Mueco, CID Chief Dr. Lorena S. Walangsumbat, SGOD Chief Elizabeth M. De Villa, SEPS for SMN Paul Clifford N. Marquez, EPS-II for SMN Mary Joyce P. Salamat, and Dr. Carmencita L. With its expertise in SHS strands, specifically and being in itself an assessment center for National Certification (NC) in Home Economics, BWEST College is an institution accredited by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) that offers Technical and Vocational Education and Training Programs (TVET) under the TESDA and the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Importantly, this partnership is expected to also benefit the learners who are at the heart of the Division’s mantra, “Bawat Bata Kinakalinga”.
