SDS Alicaya Orients Newly Created Division and Information and Creative Team (DICT)

 Geared towards the strengthening of documentation and reporting systems of Division PAPs, OIC-SDS Elias A. Alicaya Jr., EdD initiated an orientation program for the new members of the Division Information and Creative Team (DICT), March 29, 2021.

Said orientation was in line with the issuance of Division Memorandum No. 167, s. 2021 announcing the composition of the DICT. The team was officially welcomed by OIC-SDS Alicaya who discussed the objectives of the formalized group, including the expectations for each member and cluster of teacher-journalists/school paper advisers, researchers, photographers, videographers/video editors, layout artists, and voice talents. The members dubbed as “DICT partners” came from the different congressional districts of DepEd Quezon, who have been carefully selected by the “DICT Core Team” based on skills and expertise.

The established DICT shall be chiefly responsible in promoting the PAPs of the Division through the production of informational videos, pamphlets and photographs; writing of feature articles, scripts and press releases; management of the Quezon DepEd Tayo FB page and website; and coverage of Division PAPs for promotion and increasing partnerships. In exigency of the service, the DICT is expected to write news articles and features for press releases, and scripts for audio-visual productions; display/post relevant and timely press releases, announcements, and visual-informative contents for public information; showcase the best practices and achievements of the Division on areas of quality, access and governance; participate in meetings and professional development activities relevant to information management and production of multi-media resources; produce high-impact photos, graphics or layout; and perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Top Management.

Division Information Officer SEPS Oscar R. Duma Jr. presented the DICT members, areas of assignment, and functions to be delivered. Gilbert C. Alva, SEPS for Research, and Abner Pureza, EPS in-charge of Journalism, also work with the Core Team chaired by OIC-SDS Alicaya and OIC-ASDS Gregorio A. Co Jr., OIC-ASDS Gregorio T. Mueco, and OIC-ASDS Herbert D. Perez. Other members include EPS-II Maria Bernadit M. Tupas, PhD, Division ITO Wilbert B. Porteza, ICT Support Staff Rommel T. Oczon, Lead Videographer/Photographer Christian Kenneth G. Villamiel, Support Videographer/Photographer Wins Marian dela Cruz, PhD, Voice Talents Zaldy O. Bueno and Leah Bermudez, and members of the DIO Press Release Correspondents. The Core Team is expected to lead the DICT Partners in future projects.
