School Health Section OIC Nurse Tess Abella and SGOD Chief Elizabeth De Villa through the approval of top management headed by OIC- SDS Sir Elias Alicaya Jr., conducted “FREE FLU VACCINATION” to all SDO personnel on August 27, 2020.
This is also initiated as a response to COVID-19 impact to DepEd personnel nationwide.
This activity was made possible with Quezon Provincial Office. Gov. Danilo Suarez thru Dra. Grace Santiago (Provincial Health Officer) provided flu vaccine to DepEd Quezon staff especially to those vulnerable and high risk individual.
Nurse Joeann M. Reyes, National Immunization Program Officer, and her team, wearing appropriate PPEs, led the said activity at SDO Grounds. Minimum health standards and safety protocol was observed from registration to vaccination. SHS personnel was also present to assist the needs of the team.
A total of 166 personnel (126 SDO Personnel, 23 Public Schools District Supervisors, 13 field personnel) benefited from this activity.
In addition to free vaccination, 2 canopy/tents was provided by Hon. Danilo Suarez thru General Services Office to ensure physical distancing during immunization.
Vaccination is a preventive way to maintain good health. Remaining healthy during this time is our best shot against pandemic. (Genesis E. Olarte, RN, MAN 8/28/2020)
