TALIPAN, QUEZON — The Schools Division Office of Quezon (SDO Quezon) officially launched its 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration on March 2, 2026, at Talipan National High School, gathering education leaders, personnel, and youth advocates in a united call for empowered Filipina leadership and good governance.
The meaningful kick-off program was attended by the Division’s Top Management, Chiefs, Education Program Supervisors (EPS), Section Heads, non-teaching personnel of SDO Quezon, as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff of Talipan National High School and student youth leaders.
Highlighting the celebration was the keynote address of former Commission on Audit (COA) Commissioner Heidi L. Mendoza, whose inspiring life story resonated deeply with the audience.
In her speech, Mendoza shared her humble beginnings and the challenges she overcame through determination, integrity, and unwavering faith in honest public service. From modest roots to becoming one of the country’s most respected public officials, she emphasized that true leadership is grounded in character, courage, and accountability.
“Integrity is doing what is right even when no one is watching,” she underscored, encouraging educators and youth leaders to embody transparency and ethical leadership in their respective roles.
Her message went beyond personal success—it was a powerful reminder that women, regardless of background, can rise to positions of influence through perseverance and principled action. She also reiterated her long-standing advocacy for good and honest governance, inspiring participants to become champions of ethical practices within their communities and institutions.
The event served not only as a ceremonial opening but also as a reaffirmation of SDO Quezon’s commitment to gender equality, women empowerment, and inclusive leadership within the education sector.
As the Division embarks on a month-long celebration, the strong and inspiring voice of Commissioner Mendoza set the tone—one of courage, accountability, and transformative leadership.
Indeed, the 2026 National Women’s Month Celebration of SDO Quezon began with a powerful reminder: empowered women empower communities, and integrity remains the foundation of true service.
