LUCENA CITY, Quezon — The Schools Division of Quezon (SDO Quezon) successfully conducted the “Capacity Building to Strengthen Programs and Activities in Risk Reduction and Management in the Light of the Adopt-a-School Program” from January 20 to 23, 2026, at Ouan’s Resort, Lucena City.
The four-day activity aimed to strengthen collaboration and shared accountability among District DRRM Coordinators and Adopt-a-School Coordinators, ensuring effective implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) initiatives across schools and field offices.
Participants engaged in collaborative and focused sessions, including congressional district group discussions, which led to the crafting and presentation of District DRRM Annual Plans. Sessions also highlighted strategic partner engagement, division information mechanisms, and the presentation of accomplishment and financial reports, promoting transparency and informed decision-making.
The activity concluded with the finalization of District DRRM Annual Plans, aligned with the Adopt-a-School Program, reaffirming SDO Quezon’s commitment to safe, resilient, and prepared learning environments for all schools under its jurisdiction.
