A total of 339 teachers from the Quezon Cluster took their oath: 29 from Lucena, 249 from Quezon, and 61 from Tayabas, who sworn to fulfill their duties with utmost dedication.
The Department of Education (DepEd) Quezon Cluster initiated the event coined as Oath-Taking Ceremony for Expanded Career Progression (ECP) Promotees on January 26, 2026, at M.I. Sevilla’s Resort with no less than Governor Angelina “Doktora Helen” DL. Tan as the inducting officer.
This initiative is a response of DepEd Quezon cluster to the full implementation of the ECP across all schools.
Also present in the activity were key government and education leaders, including City Administrator Anacleto “Junjun” C. Alcala, Jr., representing Lucena City Mayor Mark Don Victor B. Alcala; Mr. Renato Edrad, representing Tayabas City Mayor Anthony A. Lim; and Schools Division Superintendents Dr. Rommel C. Bautista, CESO V of SDO Quezon, Dr. Susan DL. Oribiana, CESO V of SDO Lucena, and Dr. Celedonio B. Balderas, Jr. of SDO Tayabas.
Assistant Schools Division Superintendents, Public Schools District Supervisors, and members of the Technical Working Groups (TWGs) from the three divisions also attended the event, signifying strong institutional support for the Expanded Career Progression System.
The oath-taking formally recognized teachers who earned promotion under the ECP, highlighting their competence, dedication, and sustained contributions to the education sector.
Through the ceremony, the newly promoted teachers officially assumed their new positions and responsibilities in service of public education.
The event reaffirmed DepEd’s commitment to merit-based advancement and continuous professional development, while emphasizing that career progression comes with greater accountability and responsibility. More than a ceremonial rite, the activity served as a reminder of integrity, excellence, and renewed dedication to public service among the roster of the teaching workforce.
