In a bid to prepare the athletes for success both on and off the field, the DepEd Quezon Dolphins held their first delegation meeting on Friday, April 5 at 7pm.
The meeting, which took place at Sta. Rosa Science and Technology High School, was attended by coaches, officials, technical working groups, and key personnel involved in 2024 RAAM. The meeting spearheaded by Joan Alejaida Mauhay, the Division Sports Officer, and Jay Alfaro, EPS-MAPEH, emphasized the importance of discipline, proper nutrition, cleanliness, and overall health and well-being.
As the athletes gear up for the upcoming games, it is crucial for them to maintain the right attitudes and mindset, practice time management, and prioritize their physical and mental well-being.
One key aspect discussed in the meeting was the assigned playing venues, use of accommodation facilities, and travel time to these venues.
The committee heads stressed the need for efficient planning and coordination to ensure that the athletes can focus on their performances without any unnecessary distractions.
During the meeting, the stance on traditional greetings such as Pagbati and Pagsaludo was also addressed.
The officials highlighted the significance of setting good examples for the Quezonian athletes to follow, both in terms of sportsmanship and respect for authorities, and cultural traditions.
The meeting concluded with a reminder that services are readily available for the athletes to address any concerns they may have during the RAAM 2024.
The DepEd Quezon Dolphins are committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for their athletes to thrive in.
As the team moves forward with their competitions, it is clear that they have one stand and one goal in mind - to represent DepEd Quezon with pride and excellence in all their endeavors.
