The Schools Division of Quezon adopted the Revised Guidelines on Alternative Work from Arrangement in the Department of Education during the Period of National Emergency due to Covid 19 pandemic.
This is in response to the DepEd Order No. 11 series of 2020.
Schools Division Superintendent Catherine P. Talavera, CESO V clarified this matter during the MANCOM meeting for school heads, June 26.
As stated in the Memo, the guideline took consideration on the policies setforth by the President and the Inter-Agency Task Force for the management of Covid 19 pandemic.
The SDS stressed on the provision that states work arrangements and support mechanisms for teaching and non-teaching personnel including job orders (JO) and contracts of service (COS) personnel and officials in all DepEd offices in all governance levels in public elementary and secondary schools and community learning centers (CLCs) during Covid 19 pandemic.
“DepEd upholds it thrust to protect the learners, the teachers and all school personnel in the height of the pandemic while ensuring that we continue the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant and liberating basic education,” the SDS quipped.
She further said that all teaching and nonteaching personnel can opt to work from home but are expected to be available during working hours to maximize the time spent in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities.
