To improve records management and tracking of documents in DepEd Quezon, the Records Section, in collaboration with the ICT Unit, conducted orientations on the final features of the Automated Records Inventory System (ARIS), version 1.0 and on the Quezon Online Document Tracking System (QODTS), version 4.0, at the Division Training Center, June 14.
ARIS v. 1.0 is a system that focuses and is delimited on optimizing the annual conduct of inventory of public documents/records from traditional to automated methods so as to effectively manage the holdings of the Division.
On the other hand, QODTS v. 4.0 is a web-based technology that monitors flow of documents processed and acted upon in the different operating units, as well as records and generates reports on the status of official transactions against standard turnaround time.
The ICT Unit headed by ITO Wilbert Porteza and the Records Section led by AO-IV /Records Officer II Sherelyn O. Pardilla work hand-in-hand to streamline the frontline services and promote the universal use of electronic transactions in DepEd Quezon.
Both activities were designed to orient the Division personnel and DTS in charge regarding the newly improved features of the two systems, specifically focused on their technical operations.
Outsource developers recently designed ARIS whereas ICT Staff Rommel Oczon developed the QODTS in 2016.
