DepEd Quezon athletic delegation to the 2023 Regional Athletic Association Meet (RAAM) expressed gratitude to the Sta Cruz Elementary School community for the culture of hospitality in accommodating the team during the three-weekend duration of the event.
SDO Quezon top management articulated grateful acknowledgment for the host school’s kind gestures through a thanksgiving ceremony held at the STCES gymnasium, April 15 evening.
Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Gregorio T. Mueco cited the host school’s efforts as one of the best episodes Quezon delegation ever experienced.
“Our athletes’ participation wouldn’t be happy and worthwhile without staying in a safe and caring environment that we found in SCES. Our athletes really felt the sense of home in here,” ASDS Mueco stated.
Relatively, ASDS Herbert Perez appreciated the host school highlighting that SCES has given Quezon delegation the best facilities and classroom to stay for us to feel we are being cared.
“We don’t feel away from home. Let this be a fruitful start of friendship and ties between Quezon and Dasmariñas, ASDS Perez said.
Adding to the thanksgiving was ASDS Edward Garcia’s message underscoring the time, sets of bedding, services, security, the barangay, and all efforts that SCES extended to Quezon delegates are truly beyond reproach.
In response, the newly-installed Schools Division Superintendent of Dasmariñas City Dr. Elias Alicaya Jr, who recently served SDO Quezon spoke in behalf of both divisions. He said that within 3 weeks, di matatawaran ang hirap ng host school – the preparation, and everything.
“We would like to express our sense of generosity for all the good experiences. Let the spirit of sportsmanship strengthen our bond, even beyond RAAM 2023. We are all members of a one big family, after all,” SDS Alicaya expressed.
Meanwhile, Dr. David Lelis III stated: It’s a pleasure to host and accommodate the biggest division in CALABARZON. We hope you will bring home the memories of your stay here. It’s been an honor to serve you.”
In the same event, Dr. Lorena Walangsumbat, CID chief rendered the opening remarks while Elizabeth De Villa, SGOD Chief gave the closing remarks. Performers from team Quezon entertained the audience. (Story: Abner L. Pureza, EPS/ Photos: Arjay A. Oribiana, Gumaca NHS)
