About 51 teachers from different public elementary and secondary schools of DepEd Quezon were allowed by the Regional Director of Region IV-A CALABARZON Dr. Wilfredo Cabral to report to schools to perform different tasks in preparation for the coming school year.
The said teachers wrote a letter addressed to the Director and indorsed by the Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Catherine P. Talavera, CESO V.
In a returned indorsement, the director interposed no objections on the teachers request provided that they voluntarily offered their services during the enrolment period; that health protocols are strictly observed and that the number of teachers reporting physically per school should not be more than 10.
The teacher – volunteers mostly came from Cagbalete NHS in Mauban, Binulasan Integrated School in Infanta district, San Roque NHS in Candelaria, Pasispis Elem School in Lopez East, Sta Catalina Norte Elem School Candelaria; Dr. Panfilo Castro NHS Masalukot Annex Candelaria; and Libo NHS Panukulan; and Quezon NHS in Lucena.
“Teachers are the new front liners, they can opt to volunteer for school operations amid Covid 19 pandemic provided that physical distancing and safety protocols are observed,” the SDS said.
