Planet Water Foundation, Capital One Philippine donate aqua towers to SDO Quezon schools

 Consistent with the partnership goals of the Division and the objectives of DepEd’s Wash in Schools (WinS) program, the Planet Water Foundation (PWF), in cooperation with Capital One Philippines, donated four additional aqua towers with filters to deserving schools in SDO Quezon, February 23 & 28.

In 2022, the PWF provided SDO Quezon schools with 10 aqua towers and aqua sans (filter devices). In total, 14 of these water systems were already provided to recipient-schools, including Paiisa Elementary School and San Francisco Elementary School in Tiaong Districts, Pagbilao Central Elementary School in Pagbilao, and Lutucan Central School in Sariaya.

The most recent turnover activities were held in Pagbilao CES and Lutucan CS on February 23 and 28, 2023, respectively. The PWF representatives, headed by Program Manager Engr. Dario Operario, graced the activities, together with the virtual presence of the Top Honchos of Capital One Philippines. These activities included capacity building of teachers and parents on educating learners about proper handwashing and hygiene and the importance of clean water to the community.

The PWF is a non-profit organization that brings clean water to the world's most impoverished communities. On the other hand, Capital One is a diversified bank that offers a broad array of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses, and commercial clients.
