SARIAYA QUEZON- Bocce players from Unit II represented by delegates from San Antonio Quezon outclassed their foes and snatched the gold medals against the forwarding Unit IV players from their thrilling match during the 2023 Division Bocce
Championship Game through their highly technical plays in the frame, March 4.
Unit two players claimed the championship after registering 18 points over the 8 points of the opposing team in a raise to 16-point duel.
Tumlos Florenda, Gutierrez Nikka Frances, Camalig Mark, and Amparo Dexter showcased their frame brilliance throughout the game using the tactical rolls of the balls against the rivals. Making 2 out of 4 rolled balls close to the white ball, “Palisa,” rewarding them the points.
Meanwhile, Tremillos Happy, Melanie Abling, Zamora John Roy and Hernandez Anne represented unit 4 and offered a thrilling game against the perennial champs, yet their skills and experience were not enough to subdue the foes being neophytes in the game.
It could be recalled that some of the players in the champion team were 2-to-3-time regional bocce qualifiers of the division in the Regional Meet.
Moreover, the four participating teams also fought for the mix doubles, and individual boys and girls category which were also dominated by the unit 2 players.
