Budget Office, Planning Unit holds 2024 Pre-Planning Seminar Workshop, Budget Forum for Non-IUs

 To respond to the annual Budget Call issued through the National Budget Memorandum No. 145 dated January 12, 2023, SDO Quezon, through the Budget Office and Planning Unit, conducted the FY 2024 Pre-Planning Seminar Workshop and Budget Forum at Sevilla’s Resort and St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center, Lucena City, February 20-23.

This activity aimed at providing technical assistance for the preparation of the school's Programs, Projects & Activities (PPAs) for FY 2024 which will be the basis of their FY 2024 Budget Proposals and Annual Improvement Plans (AIPs).

Spearheaded by Budget Officer III Catherine A. Pureza, in close coordination with Planning Officer III Marbin Jeramil D. Fragata, the said seminar-workshop and budget forum also seeks to make the operational and financial plans more effective in achieving organizational goals, and efficient in terms of utilizing government funds.

Non-implementing unit-participants were grouped into five batches, as follows: Batch 1 (District 1 schools); Batch 2 (remaining District 1 schools and entire District 2; Batch 3 (District 3 [12 districts only]); Batch 4 (remaining District 3 3 schools and District 4); Batch 5 (remaining District 4 schools). The last Batch will participate on Friday, February 24.

Included in the program management team are the following: Division Cashier Sheila E. Javen (in charge of registration); EPS II Michelle G. Duma (program facilitator and TA provider on GAD concerns); HRMO Wennie O. Gaela (in charge of the presentation of participants and TA provider on personnel concerns); Accountant Edmund Marin Jr. (TA provider on liquidation matters); SEPS Oscar Duma Jr. (in charge of QATAME); Mr. Jeffrey Maaño (documenter); Division Nurses; and other personnel of the Budget and Cashier Offices (in charge of logistics and program needs).

Further, similar sets of activities—pre-planning for 2024 and preparation of budget proposals will be held on March 2-3, 2023 for all Implementing Units (IU) in the Division.
