The division sports spectacle formally opened concurrently in seven different venues: Quezon National High School, San Antonio, Tiaong, Sariaya, Lucban, Atimona, Gumaca, and Lopez districts on March 3.
Dr. Elias A. Alicaya Jr, Officer-in-charge, Office of the Schools Division Superintendent declared the meet’s opening at Quezon NHS which is the main venue where most events are scheduled while Dr. Lorena S. Walangsumbat, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) affirmed the meet’s opening at San Antonio.
In a related event, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Herbert Perez, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) Joseph Jarasa, and EPS Fernando Seño declared game openings in Tiaong, Sariaya, and Lucban venues respectively.
ASDS Gregorio Mueco led the palaro opening in Atimonan while Lopez and Gumaca held their own meet’s openings.
Quezon NHS hosts the following events: volleyball, swimming, badminton, lawn tennis (Iñigos Sports Complex), taekwondo, chess, and dancesports(Pacific Mall). San Antonio caters to the following events: baseball and softball while Tiaong takes charge of gymnastics, aerobic gymnastics, Futsal, and athletics and Sariaya for goalball and bocce.
In the same event, Atimonan district serves as venue for billiard, basketball, and sepaktakraw, while Gumaca hosts archery, and Lopez for wushu.
EPS in charge as Division Sports Officer Dr. Joan Alejaida Mauhay said that awarding of winners will be held in respective playing venues immediately after each tournament.
