All roads led to DepEd Quezon’s school campuses as learners from all key stages tried to catch up school year 2022-2023’s opening with face-to-face classes being resumed after a two-year remote learning set up.
Assistant Regional Director Cherrylou D. Repia joined the DepEd Quezon’s top management lead by OIC – Schools Division Superintendent Elias A. Alicaya Jr in conducting onsite monitoring at Catanuan, San Narciso, and Buenavista districts to ensure smooth flow of Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) in the division.
With the theme Kapit-bisig para sa mas ligtas na Balik-Aral, ARD Repia graced the flag raising ceremony of Catanuan Central School (CCS), early morning of August 22.
The assistant director urged teachers to be kind as kindness is a grateful gift from God. She also advised school children to be kind as well and to always follow health and safety protocols in going in and out of the school.
ARD Repia shared moments with Catanuan district school heads during the actual OBE monitoring and conducted exit conference among the school principals and key personnel.
Part of ARD’s itinerary included courtesy call to Mayor Florabelle U. Yap and monitoring of CCS, San Narciso Central School, Godofredo M. Tan School of Arts and Trades, Nangka Elementary School, Busokbusokan Elementary School, San isidro Elementary School, Bani Elementary School, and other school in San Narciso District 1 and Buenavista Districts 1 and 2.
In a related event, OIC-SDS Alicaya congratulated CCS for being ready in Brigada Paghahanda emphasizing the importance of observing Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) mandates and remaining vigilant on Covid-19 while face-to-face classes are on-going.
Philippine National Police (PNP) Catanuan participated in the OBE flag raising ceremony showing support to DepEd’s goal of implementing health standard practices in schools and in maintaining peace and order in school grounds.
Public Schools District Supervisor Chona D. Andrade welcomed ARD Repia, OIC SDS Alicaya, PNP officials and other members of the monitoring team that included Assistant Schools Division Superintendents (ASDSs) Greorio Co Jr, Herbert D. Perez, and Gregorio T. Mueco, DepEd Quezon unit chiefs and unit heads.
The monitoring team is divided into four sub-groups to visit more schools in the districts included in the itinerary with ARD Repia leading sub-group 1.
