A team from DepEd Information and Communication Technology Service-Technology Infrastructure Division (ICTS-TID) composed of James Doctor, Christian Cortez, Anthony Fernandez and John Clark Taguinod, Technical Assistant II of ICTS-TID unit monitored the DepEd Computerization Program (DCP) of Alabat, Quezon, Perez (ALQUEREZ) and Plaridel districts on June 27-July 1, 2022.
DepEd Quezon Information Technology Officer (ITO) Wilbert Porteza, District ICT Coordinators Mcnell Sumang of Alabat District, Eduardo Collado of Quezon District, Rona Macabansag of Perez District, and Nerriel Bala of Plaridel District accompanied the ICTS-TID Central Office monitoring team.
Respective Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs) of the participating districts also joined the monitoring focusing on progressive face to face classes. The monitoring was conducted in relation to DM 451, s. 2022.
A total of 34 out of 34 elementary and secondary schools from ALQUEREZ and Plaridel were visited validating the delivery procedures, issues, and utilization of DCP batch 2019 to 2020 including lower batches.
The five - day activity gathered issues and concerns as inputs for necessary action.
Highlight of the monitoring was an assessment on the status of the program particularly on the usage of DCP packages utilizing DCP monitoring tools in the following 34 schools: (1) Alabat CES, (2) Alabat Island NHS, (3) CB Encarnado IS, (4) Angeles-Caglete IS, (5) Pambilan ES and (6) RT Camacho IS in Alabat District, (7) P. Cabangon ES, (Guinhawa ES, (9) Joel B. Arquiza NHS, (10) Cometa ES, (11) Evaristo Macalintal MNHS, (12) M.F. Maningas ES, (13) T. Olivera ES, (14) Quezon CES, (15) Cesar Tan MNHS, (16) Gumubat ES, (17) R. Sasot ES, (18) Pablo Maningas NHS, (19) U. Camacho ES, (20) Del Pilar ES, and (21) Sabang ES in Quezon, Quezon. (22) Rizal Maabot ES, (23) Mainit Norte ES, (24) Severo Tejada IS, (25) Pinagtubigan ES, (26) Perez Central ES, (27) Perez NHS, (28) Perez West ES and (29) Pambuhan ES in Perez District. (30) Plaridel CES, (31) Ilosong ES, (32) Concepcion ES, (33) Concepcion NHS, and (34) Tanauan ES in Plaridel District.
Data on DCP program were gathered such as defective computer units, usability to instructional delivery, and other matters such as best practices, gaps, challenges.
The SDO Quezon’s Top Management headed by the OIC-Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Elias A. Alicaya Jr., through ASDS Gregorio A. Co Jr. welcomed the monitoring team, thanking the ICTS-TID in its effort to deliver quality ICT infrastructure and services. #
