With the aim to recognize the important role of School Information Coordinators (SICs) and District Information Coordinators (DICs) in the dissemination of accurate and timely information to school stakeholders, and acquaint them with the PREFIC [Press Release and Field Correspondent] initiatives, the SGOD-SMME through the Division Information Officer (DIO) conducted an orientation program via MS Teams, March 30. “Inspired by the Department’s ILAW [Information Leaders Award], ALITAPTAP Awards aim to give appreciation to deserving schools/districts on information management and dissemination of implemented PAPs,” SEPS for SMME and designated DIO Oscar Duma Jr. said. This activity is in connection with the implementation of Project APPRAISE [Applying Results-oriented Assessment for Improved School Effectiveness] which focuses on monitoring and evaluation of DepEd programs, projects and activities, as well as on the empowerment of SICs, DICs and other personnel on government communications and public assistance. Program facilitator Maria Bernadit Tupas, EPS-II, introduced the topics for orientation. DIO Duma discussed press release management in the Division; recruitment of PREFIC members; guidelines of article submission for e-publication; designation of SICs and DICs; maximizing the use of DepEd Tayo pages; addressing page management concerns; and overview of the Awards. After sharing about the Search timeline, he also reminded the participants to assist in the checking and application of the DepEd Manual of Styles (DMOS). The awarding ceremony is expected to happen virtually on May 31, 2022. SGOD Chief Elizabeth De Villa expressed her support and extended appreciation for the effort of all SICs and DICs, as well as the invited School Heads In-charge of Governance and Operations (SHIGOs) and Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs). +++ #SulongEdukalidad #DepEdQuezon #DepEdTayo #DepEdTayoQuezonProvince #DepEdCALABARZON #ProjectAPPRAISE #ALITAPTAPawards #EduAksyon #DepEdPhilippines #ParaSaBataParaSaBayan #KwentoNgPagAsaAtTagumpay #QuezonPREFIC Oscar R.
