The Alternative Learning System (ALS) of DepEd Quezon thru supervisor Asuncion Ilao, SDS Catherine Talavera, CID Chief Lorena Walangsumbat, and ALS specialists instructed all implementers to utilize whatever online platform is available for continued learning of students enrolled under the program.
Some of the available platforms that DepEd released and suggested are DepEd Commons, E-Skwela and Balik Aral Muna application for ALS learners to continue learning.
In order to monitor the implementation of the online platform, DepEd Quezon ALS also used online gathering of data from the field. They used Google Sheet to collect data from the different ALS clusters in the division.
The Google Sheet shows that only 954 learners can access the online learning materials while the 7,754 learners only use the hard copy given by the implementers. This is because most learners have no internet access due to their location. Most don’t even have access to mobile data while other learners have no android/laptop to use.
