The Department of Education Schools Division Office – Quezon (DepEd SDO Quezon) held its first Rewards and Recognition Ceremony for its promoted employees, vis-à-vis a program on the National Women’s Month Celebration at M.I. Sevilla’s Farm and Resort, Lucena City, March 8. In his speech, Schools Division Superintendent Elias A. Alicaya Jr. shared, “Alam ko ang pakiramdam na minsan, aalis ka sa isang organization na para namang hindi ka napasalamatan kahit ilang taon kang nag-spend doon sa trabaho. Ang tagal-tagal ng serbisyo mo doon pero in the long run, nag-retire, umalis ka, nag-transfer ka, ni ‘ha,’ ni ‘ho’, wala man lang.” With this, the SDS intended to express appreciation for the outgoing employees of the Division by initiating a short R&R program, in addition to other operational programs related to promotion, reclassification, and claims and benefits for its personnel. As part of the on-the-spot category of the fifth-time Gawad Gintong Binhi facilitated by the School Governance and Operations Division - Human Resource Development (SGOD-HRD), this onsite program sought to recognize the teaching and non-teaching personnel who rendered exemplary services, outstanding accomplishment, good deeds, and noteworthy behavior, thus motivating and inspiring other DepEd Quezon personnel, not only to continue to improve the quality of their performance but also to be a role model and inspiration to every Quezonian. Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Gregorio T. Mueco congratulated the SGOD, led by Chief Elizabeth de Villa for launching a “very worthwhile activity” acknowledging the achievement of the men and women of the Division of Quezon, especially those who have been promoted and who have been transferred to other stations within and outside the Division. SGOD Chief De Villa mentioned: “This is a shared responsibility of the Department of Education Division of Quezon to honor you, my dear colleagues, in your performance rendered last year. That’s why our Schools Division Superintendent, Sir Eli [Alicaya], organized this activity and told us to be part of this GAD (Gender and Development) activity.” This ceremony also coincided with the culmination of DepEd Quezon’s National Women’s Month Celebration spearheaded by the Division GAD Focal Point System, considering that 83 percent-majority of the awardees were women. Having received plaques of recognitions for rendering exemplary service towards achieving quality management in the Division, this year’s awardees were 18 previous employees of SDO Quezon, namely: Hannah Irish R. Cañeda (Legal); Dayanara E. Flores, Raquel O. Venzuela, Aireene U. Morales. and Yvannah Marie A. Ingente (Personnel); Jean O. Solomon (Supply); Ronald M. De Ramos, Donald M. Fontanosa, Mildred E. Glorioso, Amiecel A. Hutalla, Czarina Gaye J. Mendiola, Zara Jessica D. Pasta, Maychelle A. Te, Sharon M. Venzuela, Jessica M. Tolenada, and Z-Anne Leah B. Zulueta (Accounting); Rhodora T. Peña (Budget); and Zaldy O. Bueno (former Youth Formation Unit coordinator). During the event, one of the awardees, Dr. Z-Anne Leah B. Zulueta (former Administrative Assistant III of DepEd Quezon and current Administrative Officer II of DepEd Lucena City), said: “This [award] is an extra special bonus po para po sa amin kasi mas mahalaga sa amin ‘yung mga natutunan namin throughout the years… We will always be thankful and grateful sa DepEd Quezon, and DepEd Quezon will always have a special place in our heart. Maaasahan ninyo po that we will continue to do what we did dito sa Quezon.” The event concluded as SDS Alicaya reminded everyone, especially the recipients, “Saan man padparin tayo ng mga paa natin, ang importante… walang inaapakang tao at taas noo kang aalis sa sa anumang organisasyon na ginawa mo ang part mo noong panahong nagseserbisyo ka.” #SulongEdukalidad #SDOQuezon #DepEdTayoQuezon #DepEdCALABARZON #RandR #Awarding #PromotedEmployees #GAD #ProjectAPPRAISE #ALITAPTAPAwards #PREFICteam Jeth Ysrael R.
