SDO Quezon received awards on the implementation of DepEd’s School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) and Wash in Schools (WinS) at Forest Crest Nature Hotel and Resort, Batangas on December 2, 2021. DepEd IV-A CALABARZON, through the Education Services Support Division (ESSD), spearheaded the 2021 Exemplary Support Services Delivered (ESSD) Awarding rite, the second year of the annual ESSD recognition day. Lalaguna I ES was hailed as second-place winner of DepEd’s first National Search for the Most Outstanding SBFP Implementers for SY 2020-2021, via Zoom and streamed live via DepEd Philippines Facebook Page. The SDO received P35,000 while P75,000 for Lalaguna I ES. Also, the following schools were recognized in their exemplary implementation of the WinS program: San Ignacio ES, Canda ES, Castanas ES, Antipolo ES, Binagbag ES, and Pantoc ES. -The first-ever search showcased not only the growth in nutritional status of undernourished children but also featured the best practices in the program implementation. These features include successful collaboration and partnership with various stakeholders. As further explained by DepEd, this award and recognition highlighted the gains and success achieved by the program by recognizing the achievements of field implementers who relentlessly pursued and supported the government's call to provide critical resources needed by the learners, especially at the time of this current pandemic crisis.
