In Focus: DepEd Calabarzon, DepEd Quezon hail Lalaguna I ES as Most Outstanding SBFP Implementer of SY 2020-2021

 Lalaguna I Elementary School of Lopez East District received the Most Outstanding School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) Implementer Award of SY 2020-2021 for the entire region hailed by DepEd Calabarzon (RM No. 444, s. 2021). Also, DepEd Quezon awarded the said school as the most outstanding SBFP implementer for the whole division of the same year (DM No. 544, s. 2021).

Aside from this recognition, Lalaguna I ES spearheaded the onsite launching of the Division SBFP Implementation on September 14, 2021, at the same school. The distinct practices and outstanding accomplishments were also highlighted and presented during the Division Virtual Launching of the SBFP via Facebook Live.

This feat results from the synergy of collaborative efforts of the school head, teachers, and key committees in cooperation with the district, partner barangay, parent support team, LGU, and other service providers. SDO Quezon also provided full TA support to the team in preparation for the Regional Search. Now, DepEd Quezon and Lalaguna I ES are preparing for the national search for DepEd SBFP.

Lalaguna I ES SBFP Team is headed by Ma'am Grace U. Salvatus, Principal I, and Ma'am Cherry M. Escobar, School SBFP Coordinator, in collaboration with Nurse Aim V. Santander, District Nurse, and under the supervision of PSDS Rej Villenes.

Meanwhile, San Francisco Culong ES of Lopez West District received the 2nd Place Award for the Most Outstanding SBFP Implementer of DepEd Quezon for SY 2020-2021. The school is led by HT III Ma'am Regina Noel, SBFP Coordinator Ma'am Jomelyn Nerida, and Nurse Heide Gabriel.
