General Luna, Quezon Province, Philippines—With the aim to attend to critical education concerns and behold the situation of schools in the area of General Luna, the DepEd Quezon Top Management conducted a monitoring activity together with select Division Office section heads and personnel on Wednesday and Thursday, May 19-20.
As the Schools Division Office (SDO), through OIC-SDS Elias Alicaya Jr., ardently desires to deliver prompt and responsive basic education services for those in the Last Mile, 18 schools were visited and provided with technical assistance.
The visit highlights a tree-shade discussion with the school personnel of Sergio Balane Integrated School (SBIS) in Brgy. Recto. Since the school shall expand its curricular offering next school year, SBIS is hopeful that three (3) permanent Teacher I items will be added to the roster, plus the awaiting reclassifications of Teacher III to Head Teacher.
On a public post of General Luna’s local chief executive, Mayor Matt Florido, he announced that from the two (2) high schools in the municipality [San Isidro National High School and Malaya National High School], three (3) have already been constructed in just a span of two (2) years. This is in reference to the upcoming integration of San Nicolas Elementary School.
“Kahapon sa District Office ay aming pormal na isinumite ang ‘feasibility study’ kalakip ang mga ‘requirements’ para sa pagkakaroon ng high school sa San Nicolas [Elementary School],” Florido said.
The Division monitoring team was glad to have assisted the following schools in the itinerary: 1) General Luna Central School; 2) Sergio Balane Integrated School; 3) San Nicolas Elementary School; 4) San Ignacio Ilaya Elementary School; 5) San Ignacio Ibaba Elementary School; 6) General Luna National High School; 7) San Vicente Elementary School;Villarica Elementary School; 9) Magsaysay Elementary School; 10) San Isidro National High School; 11) San Isidro Elementary School; 12) Lavides Elementary School; 13) Nieva Elementary School; 14) Sumilang Elementary School; 15) Malaya National High School; 16) Malaya Elementary School; 17) Bacong Ilaya Elementary School; and 18) Bacong Ibaba Elementary School.
