To capacitate the participants on the preparation and development of quality-assured Professional Development (PD) Programs aligned with the professional standards and priorities for teachers and school leaders, SDO Quezon, through the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD), conducted a Division technical assistance provided by resource persons from the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP)- Quality Assurance Division (QAD), March 14.
Mr. Gerald Magno discussed the overview of NEAP quality-assured PD Programs and present transformations in the Academy, while Mr. Alvin Fulgencio oriented the participants on the criteria in the QA of PD programs and on the parts of Form R.1. (Professional Development Program Application Form).
On the other hand, Mr. Edmer Constantino presented sample reports aligned with the Levels of Kirkpatrick’s Learning Evaluation (Level 1 – Reaction; Level 2 – Learning; Level 3— Behavior; and Level 4 – Results), as well as sample tools on the first three levels.
Finally, Ms. Sarah Atienza acquainted the attending Division section heads and chiefs regarding the Academy’s M&E Framework and current improvements.
This online technical assistance, spearheaded by OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Edward D. Garcia, marks the SDO’s first move to improve the quality of PD programs implemented in the Division, as well as to later reskill and upskill the program implementers in all operating units.
