To promote digital - inspired innovations in public schools within the division, the Schools Division of Quezon, through the Google Educators Group (GEG) Quezon and the DepEd EdTech Unit (ETU), held the first Division Cyber Expo at Mangilag Sur Elementary School (MSES), Candelaria Quezon on June 8, 2022. The one-day Expo served as a vehicle for the teachers to get to know the other GCEs in Quezon and to showcase the innovations, achievements, experiences, and best practices they made and applied to enhance the teaching-learning process. A total of 92 teachers who are Google Certified Educators (GCE) from the districts of Candelaria, Sariaya, Tiaong, Pagbilao, Mauban South, Unisan, and San Francisco, through the leadership of Miss Micah Joy L. Mitra, Educational Technology Specialist, and the supervision of Mrs. Cynthia J. Reyroso, MSES School Head, and Mrs Maria Fatima U. Calayag, Public Schools District Supervisor attended the activity. Mr. Eduardo M. Talaman, Master Teacher I/GCE1 of Mauban District, Ms. Joyce A. Olimpia, Teacher I/GCE2, Ms. Lailani Arellano, Teacher III/GCE1, teachers in Tiaong II District, and Mr. Ruel O. Yolip, Teacher I/GCE2 of Unisan District shared their experiences in using Google Workspace for Education by presenting different innovations useful to both teaching-learning tasks and other work-related functions. DepEd EdTech Unit from the Central Office composed of Ms. Rowena A. Reyes, Senior Educational Technology Specialist, Ms. Joy Salazar, Senior Technical Assistant III, Mr. Virgilio Carolino, EdTech Specialist, Mr. Marge Joseph Sardo, Juan Paulo Vico, Technical Assistant; together with one of the DepEd partners, Ms. Mary Ann Manzano, Education Lead Google Philippines, expressed support and gave inspirational messages to the GCEs to strive harder in the field of technology and its applications. Reyes underscored the importance of working smart, being a dreamer, and embracing challenges, for she believes that in every challenge, there is a big opportunity. Manzano, highly encouraged everyone to continue their passion, remain inspired and broaden perspectives on the emerging pedagogies and innovative strategies for the advancement of education. She added that they are willing to give assistance to help everyone achieve more in this endeavor. Dr Elias A. Alicaya Jr., OIC-Schools Division Superintendent of SDO Quezon, delivered his message through Ms. Jee Ann Borines, Education Program Supervisor and Mr. Wilbert Porteza Information Technology Officer of SDO Quezon. EPS Borines and ITO Porteza emphasized the importance of upskilling the teachers of Quezon using the available technology to supplement the educational systems and processes in DepEd Quezon. -Irish Lynd Gonzalvo, TII & Maizel C.
