To streamline its processes and reporting systems on governance and operations, DepEd Quezon through the School Governance and Operations Division (SGOD) designated a School Head in-charge of Governance and Operations (SHIGO) per schools district and conducted an orientation program via Zoom, March 10. Said orientation was in reference with Division Memorandum No. 34, s. 2022, issued on January 17, 2022. SGOD Chief Elizabeth De Villa discussed the field participants’ terms of reference. Some of the cited functions of SHIGOs include: monitoring and evaluation of governance programs, activities and projects (PAPs) in the District; providing technical assistance to other schools in coordination with the concerned SGOD section/unit; collaborating with the School Management Monitoring and Evaluation (SMME) Section on the collection of data and reporting of SGOD-related programs during the conduct of Division Monitoring and Evaluation Plan Adjustment (DMEPA); facilitate the submission of summary reports of schools’ PAPs; coordinate and update the PSDS assigned in the district—only on areas of governance and operations. OIC-SDS Elias Alicaya Jr. emphasized the provisions of Republic Act No. 9155 and Rationalization Program of the Department which focus on the essential roles of Public Schools District Supervisors (PSDSs) on curriculum implementation, as well as the need for district in-charge on matters of governance and operations as support to teaching and learning. +++ #SulongEdukalidad #DepEdCALABARZON #DepEdTayoQuezon #SDOQuezon #ALITAPTAPAwards #ProjectAPPRAISE #KwentoNgPagasaAtTagumpay OSCAR R.
